About

I grew up in Cleveland, Ohio in the 70’s. My college and career were spent in information technology and later secondary education. In my 50’s, I discovered the right side of my brain that had lainĀ dormant all that time. I experimented with different art forms and found my passion in abstract non-objective painting…for now.

I started with ceramics because I had experience from high school and lovedĀ getting my my hands muddy. But, it wasn’t a very portable artistic endeavor. I took a painting class and tried my hand at representational art with acrylics. My sense of perfection got in the way because I wanted every brushstroke to be just right. I experimented some more and dove into abstract painting. I love the freedom it affords me to be creative. I think I’ll stay here a while.
